A few years ago, Burt’s Bees created a special eco soap line made just to take care of facial skin. One of the soaps in that line is Burt’s Bees Wild Lettuce Complexion Soap. This eco soap bar was created to provide a rich lather while gently cleansing the facial skin. Wild Lettuce powder and extract has a cooling, soothing and purifying effect on skin. Added Aloe Vera and Comfrey leaf help to promote the skins natural healing abilities. Although it is listed as a complexion soap, my wife and I enjoy it as a full body soap. It lather quickly and is a full lather. The smell is comforting and it rinses well. If it is good for dry and sensitive skin, it should be good for the body, right?
It is important to note that this eco soap with Wild Lettuce has been discontinued only because the demand was not high enough to supplement the cost of hand milling and wild crafting each bar. The bar costs $8.00 each in retail stores. There was just no room to go up any further.
Once we at Name Brand Overstocks found out it was discontinued, we put a bid in for as many cases as they would allow us to buy. We were able to get in it cheap and have passed that savings along to the buyer. We are currently selling single bars on Amazon, and while our competitors are at $8.00 a bar we are at $3.95 a bar! We are also selling lots of bars, all of the way up to case lots of 144 on eBay. Just go through our links here on this blog to get to the listings. This is truly a product that once it is gone, there will be no more.
In case you have not heard the Burt’s Bees story, take 4 minutes out of your day and watch the video below. It’s definitely inspiring!
